Tekstualnost, transcendenca, skupnost: Izzivi postmoderne filozofije religije

Delo proučuje pojmovne korelate in nadomestke, ki so se razkrili ali razpršili s smrtjo Boga. Bog namreč nikoli ni nastopal izolirano, temveč je s seboj nosil številne zavezniške in podrejene koncepte. V prvem poglavju bomo pogledali, kako je s knjigo kot mestom, na katerem se je še tik pred svojo smrtjo nahajal Bog, v drugem bomo proučevali status transcendence, v tretjem pa možnosti skupnostnega bivanja. Že vnaprej pa se moramo zavedati, da bo imel sestavek kljub vsem iskrenim naporom ogromno pomanjkljivosti, začnimo morda z najočitnejšo: seznam referenc bo precej neheterogen. Ključni avtorji, na katere se bomo večinoma sklicevali, izhajajo iz zelo zamejenega prostora in časa. Gre za sodobne kontinentalne filozofe, ki v glavnem izhajajo iz dekonstrukcije, poststrukturalizma, hermenevtike in fenomenologije. V skladu s tem se k religiji in religijskim vprašanjem večinoma obračajo z nekonfesionalnega stališča in raziskava religije kot take ni njihov osnovni namen. Tudi religija, o kateri bomo govorili, bo pravzaprav skoraj izključno le neka posplošena različica zahodnjaških monoteizmov (predvsem krščanstva), zaradi česar bodo ob robu ostali številni religijski izrazi, za katere določene različice sekularizacijskih tez, ki jih bomo proučevali v tem besedilu, sploh nimajo veljave, saj so vpeti v popolnoma drugačne simbolne, družbene in politične dejavnike.
